Hi Ya’ll! Today let’s take a look at Muse by Rachel Welch. I love Muse, just the word makes me smile, who doesn’t want to be someone’s Muse? I really like this adorable Bob style wig, I have to admit in the beginning of my wig journey I thought only one Bob was necessary, oh how wrong I was! I had no idea there were so many different types of Bob’s; short Bobs, long Bobs, asymmetrical Bobs, stacked Bobs, layered Bobs, smooth Bobs, and the list goes on and on, so many Bob’s so little time!
My Muse is in Shadow Shades Golden Wheat or SS14/88, this is a beautiful blonde shade with a dark root, this color compares to Jon Renau 12FS8. Muse is very lightweight coming in at 2.25 ounces. This lady has a temple to temple lace front, the bang is 4”, crown 7”, sides 4.5” and the nape is 2.5” (it also has an extended nape) and Velcro straps that adjust up to one half an inch, it also has lots of fun layers that give Muse a lot of movement. This is not a heat friendly wig, I have never had a heat friendly wig so I don’t really know how to compare, maybe that will be next on my list. For me the bangs were just a tad long so I had my hairdresser trim them making it a little easier for me to work with, it’s just me, I don’t like to be pushing hair out of my eyes during the day.
Another nice feature of Muse is that it is hand tied with a mono top so you can part it on either side; it’s fun to switch it up sometimes. There are so many ways to style this wig, I use a clip to pull it off my face and show that beautiful lace front, wear it with a headband, tuck it behind my ears, I’ve even worn it with a hat, and it looked great! Wear it smooth or tousled, there are so many ways to get creative with this wig.
The only con I can think of is the nape; I find at times it seems to pull away from my neck. It’s not that big of a deal but I have noticed this issue. Also a word of caution, there is not a huge amount of stretch in this wig, it does fit snug, if you have a ton of hair you are trying to cover this might be too snug for you, so be sure to measure your head beforehand.
If you want a bob wig and can’t decide on one, Muse just might be the ticket.
