Tony Of Beverly’s Pippa review in Sunset Red

Hi folks Kathleen here with my surprising (“to me ;-)” new favorite wig. Pippa by TOB… it’s amazing! ..I am so in love with this one. The hair feels beautiful. The density is perfect..no thinning require. This beauty has a lace front and for all you right side parters this has a mono top! You can part this anywhere you want. Some mono tops look wonderful but when you part them either they are so dense you could never see your head or nude cap or in my case soft silicone tape to give the illusion hair is growing from your head…or they are sparse and the part looks too wide. With Pippa wherever I part her it is absolutely perfect..no plucking required at all…looks just like a real part should look.

Pippa is that perfect bob..slightly longer in front to give you that sexy swing. Frames my long but full face beautifully. She looks so realistic I just can’t get over it. 😊 Sunset Red is a gorgeous Irish red one of my all time favorites.

Here’s an image illustrating the layering on Pippa. Versatility in a bob.❤️

The light on my covered deck showcases this gorgeous color.

Another big plus about Pippa is the lack of Permatease. I don’t know about you but one of the reasons I like a mono top is I don’t like a lot of Permatease..(not always some styles call for it 😉 ) But for natural looking styles like this relatively sleek bob I don’t want it. As you can see from my illustration below the whole top is monofilament. I adjusted the velcro tabs and she fits beautifully and very comfortably. When I wear Pippa she feels like a part of me. To fluff her up in the middle of the day I’ll shake my head up and down and voila she’s fluffed up again and she stayed on my head very securely. To help with the illusion of realism I cut a piece of soft silicone tape and stuck it to the inside of my wig. Usually I need to pluck a few strays hairs from the part. Not one hair needed to be plucked from Pippa’s part..I am very impressed with the quality of workmanship on this wig. The ear tabs are open so wearing glasses for the office etc. is a breeze. I need glasses for driving etc and its nice not having to “fix” Pippa when I take her off.

As a side offering…Some folks have asked me about the tape I use on my parts. Where do I get it etc..I would assume most drugstores will carry it. Any place that carries first aid supplies. I got mine at CVS. One good and bad thing about this tape is it’s not very sticky( its made for sensitive skin) so good news its reusable and won’t leave a residue on your delicate monofilament features. I take it off when I wash a wig( I use fabric softener)stick it on a wig head and put it back after the wig is completely dry. On the other hand its not very sticky so sometimes it’s tricky to get it in place and stay there when you put your wig on…lol. I use a little concealer on the end of the tape to transition from tape to my skin color. It works like a charm as you can see from the photos below.

Can you believe how realistic this looks?

The take away here is if you want a chin length versatile slightly  graduated bob that doesn’t need any thinning or customizing and is gorgeous and ready to wear right out of the box then Pippa by Tony Of Beverly is the wig for you….five stars….ENJOY!

What is the purpose of the tape?

Hi Rebcca..I have thin dark blonde hair so to give some realisn to the part( so it looks like scalp) I stick this tape( which is a light flesh color) to the underside of my wig. That way you wont see my bio hair peeking through the mono top. It will look like hair is growing out of my head wear I have Pippa parted..I hope that explains it..-) thanks for reading my review..xxox

I heard different. My friend who got the wig said the lace front was not so great and the unit looked too wiggy. Personally I feel lace feonts by Jon Renau are done much finer and Ellen Wiile. And I would not get another lace front from Estetica again either. I have TOB in Avery and that lace front is so-so.

You know this one and all my wigs from TOB were fantastic..my Eden by Estetica is fantastic..but I have others from brands that have great reputations that I thought were ho hum…This unit is near perfect but It is fustrating when you get a lacefront for realism and its anything but…thanks for your input 🙂

I so agree with Kathleen. I have pippa in rooted sandstone and it is divine! The best part I was able to cut in a few bangs and they lay beautifully unlike some other wigs where when I cut the bangs and they stick straight up. This is the first wig I have commented on and I love it! Superb review Kathleen!
