It is no secret I love a good shag cut and Alyssa by Envy fits that bill perfectly. Alyssa reminds me of a couple of other wigs I own, Trendsetter by Raquel Welch and Sky by Noriko, both are on the top of my list for great shag cuts!
Alyssa came with care instructions, I thought that was a nice touch, especially if you are new to wigs.
Alyssa has an open cap, front measurement of 4.25, crown 4, sides and nape 3.5 and super lightweight at only 2.2 ounces. I like the nape, it doesn’t tend to rub against my collar, therefore prolonging the life of the wig. There is permatease, I’m a big fan of permatease, but it is not overwhelming by any means. I especially like the bang on this one, it is wispy and fun!
I use a small amount of styling cream to create tons of texture or you could smooth this one down easily for a very sleek look. The back has lots of flips and layers!
The color sparkling champagne is beautiful, it is a dark golden blonde with mixed golden blonde and light golden blonde highlights and a medium root. This color is very comparable to Jon Renau’s 12FS8 (shaded praline), the picture above shows the similarity.
As with all my wigs I love to try and accessorize them as much as possible. You can wear the same wig daily but can make it look totally different by just adding a few accessories. I don’t think you would ever need to touch a comb to this one, all it needs is some finger styling and you are good to go!
I am finding myself gravitating toward these shag cuts more and more. I love the fact that they are super easy to wear, fun to accessorize and look great on almost everyone! This would be a good choice for a “first wig”, I promise it won’t be your last!
