Eileen’s Review: Jon Renau Ignite Shaded Praline (12FS8)

I have had Ignite on my wish list for some time now, to be totally honest I was hesitant to try it due to the heat resistant fibers, I have not always had the best of luck with HD fibers.

So many people wear this one and look so good in it that I just had to try it. I did some research and found out that the majority of people who wear ignite say the HD fibers are nice on this one and they actually help this style hold its shape. The HD fibers can be heat styled up to 350 degrees.

This is such a cute bob style, with angled layers to frame the face. Her specs are Bangs 8″, crown 5.75″, sides 5.25″ and a name of 1.5″, I love the nape of this wig, it will be perfect for summer!

Ignite makes me think of the upcoming spring and summer, this will be perfect for the weather down here in the South.

There were a couple of things I noticed right out of the box; one the shape and style of this wig is adorable, I think most face shapes can wear this and look great in it, second was the hair fell straight down into my face, this did not concern me at all as I know with a small amount of steaming this can be taken care of in a matter of minutes.

Ignite has a basic cap construction with a 100% hand tied lace front, there is a small amount of permatease to add that needed volume on the top but it is not overdone at all! There are closed ear tabs and Velcro adjusters as well as an open wefted top for coolness.

I ordered my usual JR color of Shaded Praline (12FS8), which is described as a medium golden blond on light golden brown nape and base with platinum highlights and a medium brown root. I have to say one of my favorite things about 12FS8 is the platinum highlights, they just light up this wig.

Notice the picture above shows Shaded Praline in HD fibers vs the normal synthetic fibers. There is a difference in the two shades, the HD fibers are not as shiny and have a slightly different texture.

I also compared it to RW SS Golden Wheat which is somewhat brighter in color; it is a medium honey blonde with soft gold blonde highlights and medium brown roots.

Noriko Creamy Toffee Rooted is more of a light golden brown and medium golden blonde with dark roots.

Ellen Wille SandMulti Rooted is more of a dark ash blonde with hints of strawberry blonde and medium roots.

Ignite does have a very short nape but with the 8″ bang there are still lots of fun styling options!

This lace front just begs to be shown off, so pull it off your face and enjoy that lace! I can understand why ladies say they order this one over and over again, I might just do the same.
