Brand new for Fall 2017, this is Go For It by Raquel Welch in two very popular shades – SS23/61 Shaded Cream and SS44/60 Shaded Licorice.

First – the wig. In my opinion, this is one of the best short wigs Raquel Welch has released. The cap construction is lace front and mono crown (my favorite) with that amazing Memory 3 open cap. If you haven’t tried it, the cap is silicone coated so for those of you with little or no hair, it’s going to sit nice and secure on your scalp.

The density is perfect. When I first saw the photos, I thought maybe it was an updated version of Cinch. Not so – they are very different! I found Cinch to be a bit on the thin side. Go For It is just right – no unwanted wefts showing through and a very natural feel to the fibers. The pictures are right out of the box and it was very easy to manipulate into different looks. The lace front is just outstanding. Sometimes in rooted colors you can get that dark, straight line appearance at the forehead which, to me, is a dead wig giveaway. These two Shadow Shades are very natural looking.

There is permatease but it’s not overly done. It’s an easy one to either poof or wear more sleek.

On to the colors – Shaded Cream has been reviewed many times but this is my first time owning it. It’s a lovely, overall quite platinum look. The rooting is a dark blonde. I was a little hesitant about this shade just because of that but once I saw it on, it’s definitely the right choice.

Shaded Licorice has the almost black base color with silvery highlights. It’s also another new color for me. The tricky thing about greys at my age (I’m 61) is that they can either take ten years off or put ten years on in an instant. Of the two, I lean more to platinum palettes but I have to say, this is a beautifully done color.

Styleability is a huge plus for Go For It. You can wear it off the face to either side or push it completely back for a bit of an edge or even wear a more full coverage bang. True to the adage that no two wigs are alike, the Shaded Cream was easier to style than the Shaded Licorice. I’m looking forward to giving them each a soak and adding a little spray gel.

With a very nice price point to boot, I’m giving this one two thumbs up!

Great review and adorable wig! You look fantastic. I particularly like you in the blonde.
