Hi folks Kathleen here with a review of Hunter by Tony of Beverly. A beautiful 100% mid length straight layered style. This wig is from my own collection and its beautiful and just as importantly has held up very well. I have found some wigs break down and look worse after repeated washings. Hunter looks and feels better than when I first got her. I don’t know why exactly but that has been my experience with her. I have her in Sunset Red which if you know me shouldn’t come as a surprise…lol. 😉 Every time I wear her I think of how much money it would cost in a salon to achieve this luscious color. Kudos to Tony of Beverly for offering this gorgeous color and continuing to offer this red on their newer styles.
There is honestly nothing like the feeling of wearing a 100% hand tied wig and Tony of Beverly has some of the finest and most comfortable ones on the market. Soft doesn’t begin to describe it. ☺️ Yes Hunter is more expensive than her open wefted counter parts but she is soooo worth the money. The comfort can’t be understated. When I pop on a wig in the morning I can wear her easily up to 14 hours and believe me the cap construction makes a difference. Hunter has no permatease and very realistic hair density. With all her layering I can still get some oomph to her.
TOB fibers are very fine soft and silky but not overly shiny.
Hunter’s lace front and full mono top are impeccably done. Beautifully spaced tiny knots…just look at the part I achieved in image 5).
Two things I want you to observe in image 6). Number one is notice all the layering. This is a very sophisticated style. Number two notice all the dimension in this hair color. Sunset Red is not a stagnant boring ultra blended color. Its very natural and all the nuances in the base color and the highlight colors give Sunset Red that wow factor you just don’t see very often in synthetic hair. Especially in a realistic Irish red.
I will say I have to overlap the Velcro adjusters on Hunter. She’s big on me but I have a small head. One good thing though is she’s very evenly big on me. I have worn other brands with mono tops and there is always a bulk and space between my flat head and the mono top. 😜 I don’t have that with Hunter so she looks very natural on me after I adjust her. If you have a classic average size head she will fit you like a dream.
By the way, as seen in image 7 & 9, there are sewn in polyurethane sections at the nape and ear tabs. Great for adding wig tape or adhesive for a more secure fit.
Image 10 illustrates how tiny the knots are on Hunter’s lace front and mono top.
The take away here is if you want a classic mid length style with gorgeous flattering layering in a luscious 100% hand tied cap with an exquisite lace front and mono top than you would love Hunter. Notice the natural movement in the video below…you just can’t beat that…enjoy!
