Hi folks Kathleen here with a review that just might be the perfect contemporary feminine curly wig…well at least for me.
Where to start? It was love at first sight, and when I put her on..I smiled inside and out. Let me explain why. As much as I love the very deconstructed or shattered curl/texture that is all the rage right now, on me they sometimes just look messy. I have a smallish head but a “full”face..lol..it is what it is😉 and softer and fully formed curls look better on me. The texture on BTW are big loose bouncy barrel curls. Retro but not old fashioned. In my book curl perfection.
Below is how she comes right out of the box..all the curls look doll like or wiggy..don’t panic after gently finger combing those curls they soften and look very pretty. This color SS30/28 SS Spice is a gorgeous color. A cross between a dark warm brown and a Irish copper red.
Here you can see this dramatic color. The morning sun on my covered deck really pop those copper red highlights. ❤️
She comes with a beautiful lace front and mono part. BTW has the perfect amount of comfort and realism balanced with an open cap to keep the cost down.
I love my Celebrity wig by RW Welch. I don’t love the cost( she is 100% hand-tied) and I wish she was fuller and had more fully formed curls. Both wigs have similar dimensions but as my collage below illustrates BTW has a more classic curl pattern.
The first curly wig I fell in love with was High Impact by Gabor. I think BTW looks like you let HI grow out. If you love the look of HI but wished she was longer BTW would be a great option.
My first Brave The Wave. She is so gorgeous! Golden Wheat is a pretty soft warm blonde. She has just the right amount of permatease to support those big loose barrel curls.
The take away here is if you want a classic curly wig but still want to look and feel contemporary then Brave The Wave is for you. Enjoy!
