Kathleen’s Review: Girl Mono by Ellen Wille ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So you ask me what’s so different about Girl Mono? Ho hum another “beachy” wave style….😜..well I’ll tell you! Most beachy wave wigs are too long for me…let’s face it I’m not 25 anymore 😉and have too much hair and the curls don’t start high enough on my head( I need some lift) Girl Mono by Ellen Wille does all that and more. My first impression was gorgeous color and oooh lots of very distinctive deconstructed waves. So I tried it on. Will it be too small or too big? My EW United was surprisingly fairly big on me and one of the reasons I love EW wigs is they fit my petite/average head perfectly. Well Girl Mono fit beautifully. I didn’t even have to take in the adjusters at the nape.

Below is a collage of GM from all sides. What I love about her is she’s a little shorter in front and gets a little longer in back. This cut is very flattering. The bangs feather into the sides or with the lace front you can style them off your face.

Lets explore this color…I will admit from the color sample and the video reviews and photos I’ve seen I thought it was going to be lighter and warmer. I was a bit bummed at first but this is a gorgeous auburn..in my book a dark to medium auburn(a bit on the cool side) with vibrant copper highlights evenly spaced throughout. This is what makes this color pop. In low light( indoors for example) it appears to be a natural dark auburn but boy get some light on her and wow gorgeous.❤️

Below is a collage of my Movie by EW. In my opinion Girl Mono is everything I wish Movie was..lol. Don’t get me wrong I adore Movie…but…she’s a little short…too heavy…has no mono part and has way too much permatease. There I said. But what I love about Movie is her feather light loose waves. Girl Mono’s curls are more deconstructed than Movie but they are as soft and feathery light. Without an abundance of permatease GM’s density is also more realistic than Movie.

With her lace front and well done mono part you have the most important features to mimic real hair. I will mention that this does have a dark root..but a very subtle and realistic one. Not too long either…which is another pet peeve of mine. I would love to see wig companies do a half inch or so root…to mimic a two-four week growth. 😉

Below is a photo that illustrates how adorable this style is. The curls are so soft and what I like about Girl Mono is you that you have some lift on top because of the curls & texture. I love it and I think its very flattering.

I was reminded of a couple highlighted auburns I have that are similar to Safranred Rooted. Below(image 7) is my color comparison. If you like HM 29H or Gabor’s Dark Copper you will love EW Safranred Rooted.

One thing that’s hard to describe in words is the movement these EW hair fibers have. This hair is so very fine and these curls are so feathery light. Honestly….you forget you are wearing a wig….it is so comfortable. 😊 Below is a little video I took that shows how realistic this hair moves. I highly recommend this wig..you will not be disappointed. ENJOY!

What a thorough review! Thank you for the color comparisons. You look beautiful! I have been afraid to try EW. I thought they might be too low density to adequately cover the wefts. Maybe I will give this one a try!

hi Danielle..thank you for visiting and reading my review. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I understand the low density concerns… you won’t have any problems w/exposed wefts with Girl Mono. She’s light and feels very natural as far as hair density goes but has absolutely full coverage..I am very impressed with her..I think you’d love her… Good luck..:-) best Kathleen

This is such a beautiful wig, so gorgeous! There are other wigs by Ellen Wille that I also like, but my head circumference is 22 and 1/2 inches. I can’t understand why Ellen Wille wigs don’t come in average size — Unfair marketing.
