Hi folks Kathleen here with my review of Hunter by Estetica. I love my reds and I have been wanting to try Estetica’s famous R30/28/26 for quite awhile. Casual Hunter was a great choice to try out this very natural soft ginger hue. I wasn’t sure if Hunter would be too casual for me but I love the style! I use that word loosely 😉…it’s really a non style..lol. To me it looks like I had my hair stylist put in beautifully razored layers into a short to mid length shaggy bob and I just was too lazy to blow dry it into its “real” style. Ahhh but its still pretty because of all the shattered waves..especially on the ends.

I had been looking at other shaggy bobs out there but really wanted something shorter. Something I could comfortably wear all day while taking care of dogs shopping cleaning etc. I was thrilled when I saw Estetica’s release of Hunter.

My first impression when I opened the box was ooooh pretty color! Thats a good sign right? Below is a collage of Hunter just plopped on my head…if you have a smaller face I would wear it like this. It can be quite sleek…or you can fluff it up a lot like I do. Love the length and the hair fibers are so silky and not too shiny at all. Very happy with the quality. Very little permatease which is always nice. 😊

I do love this color…below is a very accurate color photo taken in natural light. No one would think this was a dyed color..its so pretty. ❤️

This is the perfect style & color for me to wear with no make up….always looking for a nice no makeup wig…lol. Amazingly realistic don’t you think?

Below is a collage of Hunter from all sides taken in natural light on my covered deck. She’s so gorgeous!

If you were wondering how Tony of Beverly’s London compares to Hunter ( and who isn’t?😂) below is a visual side by side comparison. Aside from London’s longer length, her layers are cut in vs Hunter’s that are razored in. I would say Hunter has more realistic hair density and less permatease than London. Love them both.

The take away here is….if you are looking for a shaggy bob and RW Infatuation is a bit too long or TOB London has too much hair than Estetica’s Hunter is just what you are looking for…..ENJOY!

Great review Kathleen! This is such an adorable style and color on you; I love that it is casual making it a perfect everyday wig or I bet it could be dressed up with some hair accessories and made to look dressy as well. Yep, added it to my wish list. Thanks again for such a great review!

Awe Eileen..thank you..I’m sure you could could make this fancier looking..but then again some folks are informal…I know a lot of Polo folks and this is right up their ally. Thanks for reading and commenting. And yes this length is just where we can wear it all day and not go crazy..lol. Best Kathleen

Beautiful! A couple questions Kathleen – how is the cap size on Hunter? I have a smaller head and do not like the gap that so often happens in back. (Currently wearing Muse – she fits fine, and I love Jon Reneau petites) Also, this COLOR! Love it – how does it compare to Raquel Welch Glazed Cinnamon?

Hi Lisa..great questions..My head is on the small side too. I have Muse and it fits nice( a little extra on top but not noticeable)and JR’s Mariska Petite and she fits wonderfully.
I was happy that Hunter fit so well. I took in the adjusters on the nape a little but no gaps in the cap at all. She feels comfy and secure on my head. I love the fit. The color is overall lighter than RW Glazed Cinnamon but very close in hue/color. Shes lighter/brighter…very natural but decidedly a natural light ginger auburn. I have had a couple of Glazed Cinnamon wigs and what I always wish they had were more highlights its a little too blended for me. 😉 R30/28/26 is highlighted..subtle but dynamic. Beautiful color. Between the two colors I much perfer EST R30/28/26..thanks for your questions…:-)best Kathleen

Beautiful wig on you! I am also looking at Delaney by Envy, which is described as a shorter shag that looks to me to be very similar to Hunter. Are you familiar with Delaney? Can you give me any insight on Delaney?

      Hi there Angie!

This is Gina from CysterWigs. 🙂 Thank you for commenting on Kathleen’s post. I’ll let Kathleen know you commented to see if she has any personal experience with Delaney.

      Delaney’s measurements:
      – Front: 4.75″, Crown: 5.5″, Side: 5.75″, Nape: 2.5″

      Hunter’s measurements:
      – Bang: 3″, Crown: 6.75″, Side: 7.25″, Nape: 4.75″

I definitely see Hunter as being a longer, grown out shag version of Delaney. The bang is longer on Delaney for a more whispy look. Delaney has a monofilament top while Hunter has the monofilament crown. Because of the length, I see Delaney tapers more to the neck than Hunter. I hope this helps Angie. As I mentioned, I will check with Kathleen as well.

Hi Angie..Kathleen here thanks! ….I don’t have a Delaney….I will say Gina is spot on with her comments on the similarities and differences between the two styles. I would say Hunter is more of a shaggy bob whereas Dalaney is more of a shaggy pixie. They both have that shaggy piecey feel to them…hmmm Dalaney is cute..lol I might have to get her..;-)thanks again for reading and commenting on my review of Hunter…:-)
