I’m back again, Cysters! Morgan here with some delicious topper revelations.
Quickie background in case you haven’t spotted my previous posts…I’m in my late twenties, and I have broken, sun-damaged hair. I wanted bangs, but my beautician crushed my dreams by achingly informing me that my hair is too damaged and doesn’t have enough volume. Instead, I made a quick turn to the bang store (aka CysterWigs) and voila—I have the hair I’ve always dreamed of.
In my last post, I took my Chameleon Topper/Bang Filler to the shore and relaxed in sandy heaven, soaking up the sun’s rays and escaping an always-sunburned scalp, while enjoying added volume and boisterous bangs. This time, I decided to take my topper (and my boyfriend) out for a night out on the town— for the standard, yet always-charming, wine-and-ice-cream date—can you say YUM?
Putting on the topper is always a lively experience—watching the immediate transformation from lifeless hair to a BOOM of bangs is akin to putting on a Wonder Woman outfit. After a quick clip, a few brushes and some minor styling, me and my topper were ready for a hearty cab and some sweet treats.
As I savored gulps of wine, fought off brain freeze from too-large bites of ice cream and a lack of self-control, and indulged in great conversation with even better company, I was completely at ease in my topper and exceptionally comfortable wearing it on a normal night out. Actually, I knew that I looked absolutely stunning! The versatile Chameleon Topper feels light and airy, but it’s quite robust and volumizing. It piled on layers of hair that I wish I could grow naturally (but unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with those thick, shimmery hair genes.) The topper always feels a little foreign when I first put it on, but it quickly blends in only with the look of your hair, but also the feel of it.
The Chameleon Topper has been a godsend, and working it into an average, run-of-the-mill date night sprinkled in some spice and appealing looks with fun, unique locks!
I’ve worn my topper on a few special occasions and events now, but still feel a bit under the hair weather when I don’t have it on. I’m doing my damndest to get my hair back to the point where it’s manageable and healthy, but in the interim, the topper makes me feel more like myself! I know my real hair is under there somewhere, but the topper has been a great middle ground until I can get my hair back to where I want it to be. I’ve finally realized that there’s no reason to fear wigs. Wearing a topper is no different than getting your nails done, wearing a new pair of shoes, or sporting a different hairstyle! Self-expression exists in every facet of our lives—our cars and outfits are one factor, but our hair especially is an extension of our exciting personalities.
In the future, maybe it’s on to more colors and different variations—maybe even some longer locks and curly boosters. For now though, I’m beyond happy with my Chameleon topper from Cysterwigs!
