In Hawaiian the word Kai means “sea”. Rene of Paris’ Kai in Pastel Blue R swims in an Indigo blue root that ripples into a dusty gray/violet, uber straight, just below the chin bob. Mermaid hair meets satin nickel gray.
This is not your sweet grandmother’s grey hair. (Unless your grandma sports a Harley Davidson jacket and boots to die for.) This color screams “I’m badass, even while drinking carmel latte at my desk while sorting through fifty pages of dates and diagrams.”
I love color, but I also work in the healthcare field where wild and crazy colors and styles are frowned upon. This is not this style or this color. It looks very professional.
Kai is sophistication with an edge. I also have her in Melted Marshmallow, but I feel her true personality (or should I say, my true personality) comes out in the Pastel Blue R. She can be spiced up with braids or headbands, or tamed with a coy tuck behind one ear. Her length allows no tangling, so with TLC, she should last a long time. Each Kai will be different, so don’t be afraid to grab your flat iron, put it in the lowest setting (if it doesn’t have different settings, be safe and don’t use it.)
One or two quick swipes through the hair near the face gives you pencil straight razored edges. It’s beautiful.
I get compliments galore with this color. One woman in the grocery store check out line threw her hands in the air, let out a gasp and said, “No way” when she asked how long it took to get that color, and I proudly said, “It’s a wig.”
What I’m trying to say is GET HER!!!! Every compliment you receive will make you feel you can take on the world. And if you ask me, the world needs a little taking on!! Enjoy your hair beautiful people!
